I’m Alex, a student at a university which name I will not disclose. My major goal post college is to become an editor. Ideally, I’d love to work on scripts for video games or movies, but I’d also enjoy working on novels and other mediums as well. This website was required for my website design class, and I plan on making this blog a place where I discuss my college work, things I’m excited/anxious about, and things I find that are cool or I deem worth making a post about. I’ve never written a blog before or really had any kind of presence online if I’m being honest, so this will be an interesting change. A bit more about me:
I love to read. I feel like I could be pretty content (albeit a bit bored) if I had no responsibilities and could just read for hours and hours and hours. I enjoy most genres, sci-fi and horror are some of my favorites. A novel worthy of endless discussion is House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski.
I would consider myself an avid gamer, both physical and digital. Tabletop games are a big deal in my family, and I particularly enjoy beating my brothers if the opportunity presents itself. I am obsessed with horror games, I play them frequently and I would be willing to make some posts about them as I go through my backlog of games.
Movies are a big part of my life, especially (you guessed it) horror movies. Hereditary, Midsommar, The VVitch are just a few of my favorites. Picking a favorite movie is difficult, as I like all genres and can enjoy just about any kind of story, which I think lends itself to creative writing and editing quite well.
